Dreaded criminal surrenders in Bihar

Patna, May 24 (IANS) A dreaded criminal, Basudev Singh Yadav, wanted in over a dozen cases of murder, extortion and kidnapping, surrendered to the police in Bihar’s Bagaha district, police sources said Saturday. Yadav, carrying a cash reward of Rs.200,000 on information leading to his arrest, was absconding for several years and was active in East and West Champaran districts, the police said.

Earlier this month, another gangster, Bhagar Yadav, surrendered before the police in West Champaran district.
