London, Sep 11 (IANS) A British amateur artist made a drawing that depicts 9/11 — three years before the terror attack took place in the US.

The Sun said that the chalk drawing is of passenger jets, skyscrapers, flames and a scared child.

Amateur artist Willie Gardner’s work, which he made in 1988, hung in an office at an obscure Scottish community centre.

“It sends a shiver down people’s spines…My father never showed any psychic qualities when he was alive but it’s like he predicted the future.

“It’s chilling that what he drew 13 years earlier went on to become such horrible reality,” Willie’s daughter Aileen, 53, was quoted as saying.

Michael Devers, a New York resident, wondered as to “how did this man in Scotland predict the future so accurately? It’s beyond spooky.”

Lex Cook, a worker at the community centre, said that he could “remember at the time standing looking at it and trying to figure out what it was showing”.

“It was eye-catching, but strange even at the same time. Now people who see it always ask if it is a tribute to the victims of 9/11,” Cook added.
