Islamabad, Jan 8 (IANS) Punjab’s chief minister Shahbaz Sharif has declined to discuss any national issue with President Asif Ali Zardari, saying he did not trust him, the Dawn reported.Asked whether he would also like to meet Zardari, who has said he is ready to talk to Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz’s brother, the Punjab chief minister said he doesn’t trust Zardari.
“It is largely because he uses national issues as a bargaining chip. One cannot deal with such a person,” said Shahbaz.
Earlier, talking to media persons at the airport after his return from Turkey Saturday, he said: “I don’t think talks can be held with President Zardari on any matter.”
