November 7th, 2010 - 1:36 pm ICT by IANS
Mumbai, Nov 7 (IANS) Making his entry onto the podium amid loud applause and starting with a ‘namaste’, US President Barack Obama told students at the St. Xavier’s College here that he doesn’t like speaking after his wife Michelle because “she’s very good”.
“I don’t like speaking after Michelle. As you heard her, she’s very good,” Obama said amid laughter from the 300 odd students of six colleges of the city.
Addressing the students before him, the US first lady spoke passionately about herself, her upbringing and encouraged the youngsters to keep having “gigantic dreams”.
She ended her address by introducing her husband and saying: “Ask my husband some tough questions. That makes his day. But you got to keep him on his toes.”
To this, the president said: “I also don’t like speaking after Michelle because she teases me. If you want to ask me easy questions, go on.”
Obama arrived in India and headed to Mumbai Saturday. They will go to Delhi Sunday afternoon and will head to Indonesia Tuesday.
