Dismissed cop, cousin killed in Uttar Pradesh
November 12th, 2009 - 7:05 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Nov 12 (IANS) Two people, including a dismissed police constable, were stabbed to death in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, police said Thursday.
The incident took place in the Ahmedgarh locality Wednesday night.
“The dismissed cop, Balvir Singh, was going to his fields along with his cousin Rameshwar Singh on a motorcycle when they entered into an altercation with two men and a woman coming from the opposite side on a motorcycle,” inspector Dal Chand of Ahmedgarh police station told IANS over phone.
Balvir and Rameshwar were stabbed a number of times by the men.
“A case has been filed against unknown people and we are conducting raids to nab them. The postmortem report has revealed that they were stabbed a number of times and died while being taken to hospital,” Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Nepal Singh told IANS.
