Sabir Ali, a resident of Jasola Vihar in south Delhi, had suffered financial loss in his transport business and was suffering from severe depression. He shot himself in the chest with a katta (country made pistol).

“On their way back home in the evening, Ali parked his Hyundai Santro car on the roadside in Jasola Vihar and started chatting. After a while, Mohammad left the car to answer nature’s call while Ali locked the doors of the car from inside and shot himself,” said a police official.
Hearing the gun shot, his friend along with some passersby rushed to the car and gained access upon breaking the window glass. Ali was rushed to Holy Family hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The body of Sabir Ali was sent to All India Institute of Medical Sciences for post mortem while the police is questioning Mohammad in a bid to ascertain the exact reason behind the incident.
