Delhi teenager killed in fire, father hurt
February 16th, 2010 - 7:43 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS) A 13-year-old girl was killed and her father was severely injured in a fire that broke out in their east Delhi home Tuesday.
According to the fire department, the blaze was caused due to a leakage in the LPG cylinder.
“The accident happened at around 9.25 a.m. when a leakage in the LPG cylinder caused a fire in a house in Shahdara. Because of this, a 13-year-old girl died… her body was completely charred,” a fire department official said.
“The girl’s father, Murlidhar, suffered 25 percent burn injuries and has been admitted to the GTB hospital. He is 45 years old,” the official added.
