Delhi records this December’s lowest temperature

New Delhi, Dec 16 (IANS) Delhi experienced its lowest temperature this winter with the mercury dipping four notches below average to 4.7 degree Celsius early Friday morning.

The national capital, which has been experiencing very cold nights for the past week, recorded the lowest minimum temperature Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The day was also cool, but pleasant, with the maximum temperature recorded at at 21.7 degree Celsius, average of this time of the season.

The day’s temperature fell slightly from Thursday’s maximum and minimum temperatures of 22.2 and 5.9 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD, similar temperature ranges will prevail Saturday, while the morning could be slightly foggy.

“The forecast for Saturday’s maximum and minimum temperatures is 22 and 5 degrees, respectively,” added the official.
