Delhi policeman commits suicide
October 11th, 2010 - 8:47 pm ICT by IANSMeerut, Oct 11 (IANS) A Delhi Police Head Constable deployed for the Commonwealth Games Monday committed suicide by shooting himself in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district.
Ram Kumar, 37, shot himself with his service revolver at his residence in Ichauli town, over 450 km from Lucknow.
“Ram Kumar killed himself in front of his family members,” Superintendent of Police (Rural) Anant Dev told reporters here.
According to police, Kumar came to Ichauli a few days ago on leave. It is not clear why he committed suicide.
