Delhi Police rescues kidnapped woman
July 24th, 2011 - 3:56 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 24 (IANS) The Delhi Police Sunday rescued a woman within a few hours of her abduction.
A 24-year-old woman, identified as Mamta Sharma, was forcibly driven away in a car by a group of five men late Saturday near Ghitorni Metro station, a police officer told IANS.
Sharma’s friend, who was accompanying her, immediately alerted the police and gave the registration number of the vehicle, he said.
Two of the accused, identified as Pramod Kumar and Kartar Singh, were nabbed after Sharma was found in Faridabad.
