Delhi Police officer killed in road accident
April 29th, 2011 - 4:37 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 29 (IANS) A Delhi Police sub-inspector was killed and a constable critically injured when their car overturned, police said Friday.
The accident occurred around Thursday midnight when sub-inspector Virender Prakash, 38, and constable Balbir Singh, 45, were on their way to Gurgaon following an information about a notorious criminal hiding in the area.
“Their car overturned on Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. Both of them were rushed to a hospital where Prakash was declared brought dead while Singh is critically injured and undergoing treatment,” said a police officer.
Both of them were posted at Saket police station in south Delhi.
