New Delhi, May 26 (IANS) Delhi Police Tuesday evening denied media reports of plans to replace the new fleet of Chevrolet Tavera police control room (PCR) vans and said the vehicles’ performance was satisfactory.
“These vehicles were purchased after the strong recommendation of the purchase committee. And we have no plans to replace these vehicles,” said Delhi Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat.

He said the media reports that the new PCR vans were not fit for daily needs as well as facing difficulties in taking victims or injured persons to the hospitals were incorrect.

“We have no problems whatsoever and are satisfied with the vehicle’s performance,” he said.
