Delhi Metro site guard injured
October 3rd, 2009 - 11:15 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) A security guard employed by a sub-contractor and posted at an under-construction Delhi Metro station fell from the elevated track and sustained injuries Saturday evening, an official said, adding it was not clear if this was a suicide attempt.
The man, identified as Shambhu, was rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shahstri hospital after he fell from the track near Lakshmi Nagar station around 7 p.m., the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said.
He was not authorised to go to the elevated track and was not wearing a safety helmet, the official said.
Shambhu was likely to be discharged in two days, the official said.
