Delhi man fired at, wounded over petty issue (Lead)
December 22nd, 2011 - 10:32 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS) A 26-year-old man was fired at and injured by a neighbour, accompanied by three others, after a dispute over a petty issue in east Delhi, police said Thursday.
Tasleem was shot by Arif alias Kharcha in the leg around 7 p.m. Wednesday in New Seemapuri area.
Tasleem said that three other men, Saleem, Raju and Ramu, were also present at the time of incident. All the four accused lived in New Seemapuri, police said.
He said he was returning home when the four accused confronted him.
“The accused fled from the spot after committing the crime,” a police official said, adding that a hunt was on to trace them.
