Delhi government for quick progress in Games related projects
October 22nd, 2009 - 6:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS) Delhi Urban Development Minister A.K. Walia Thursday asked the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to expedite work on Commonwealth Games related projects.
Walia along with Delhi Mayor Kanwar Sain inspected the projects, including upgradation work being undertaken by the civic authority in Paharganj area, where more than 500 hotels and lodges are set for a facelift. At least Rs.800 million are being spent on the project.
The minister stressed upon “the need of quality construction which must prove to be a permanent and longer lasting infrastructure”.
