Delhi burglars arrested, goods recovered
June 14th, 2010 - 9:17 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 14 (IANS) Police arrested three people including two burglars in south Delhi and recovered stolen goods worth Rs 2.5 lakh, a Delhi police statement said Monday.
Rajesh, 32 and Pradeep Kumar, 22 would stop trucks loaded with valuable goods and commit burglaries. Jaheer Ahmed, 52 would help them by selling the stolen goods.
The trio was arrested after police received secret information about their movements.
“Recently they had stabbed a truck driver and looted the goods loaded in the truck in the Preet Vihar area,” senior police official said.
The two burglars confessed their crimes during interrogation, the official added.
