New Delhi, March 31 (IANS) With the recovery of a body and the death of an injured labourer in the hospital Monday, the toll in a building collapse in northeast Delhi rose to nine, but the builder, Deepak Garg, remained untraced two days after the accident. The rescue workers early Monday pulled put the body of a labourer - identified as Habib, 35 - from the rubble of the four-storey building that collapsed early Saturday in Brahmpuri area of northeast Delhi.
The police said a labourer, who was critically injured in the mishap, succumbed to his injuries in the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital Monday.
The rescue operation was halted Monday after the complete debris was removed from the site of accident.
“Our teams are working to trace the builder and further investigations are under way,” said a police official.
