September 7th, 2011 - 9:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) Delhi Police Wednesday released sketches of two men suspected to have placed the suitcase bomb at the Delhi High Court that claimed the lives of 11 people. While one suspect is in his 50s, the other is in his mid-20s.
“We have prepared sketches of the accused. We spoke to several eye-witnesses and the injured,” a police officer told IANS.
The bombing left 76 injured.
Many eyewitnesses claimed they saw someone with a briefcase standing in the queue outside Gate No. 5, where the blast occurred.
The officer also hinted that the bombers could be among the dead or injured.
Soon after the sketches were released, a news channel received a call from a fast food outlet in Connaught Place that two men with similar features were present there between 1.30 p.m. and 2 p.m., and were accompanied by three others.
Police are studying the CCTV footage of the outlet.
The sketches have been pasted at railway stations, bus depots and various markets, police said.
All police stations across the capital have been sent copies of the sketches and all entry and exit points of the city are under surveillance.
Police have also distributed the sketches to various guest houses and hotels.
