De Niro to play Bernie Madoff in TV biopic

Melbourne, May 17 (IANS) Actor Robert De Niro has been roped in to play jailed conman Bernie Madoff in new TV biopic.
The movie is based on New York Times reporter Diana Henriques’ new book “The Wizard of Lies: Bernie Madoff and The Death of Trust”, deadline.com reports.
Madoff is serving a 150-year prison term for stealing billions of dollars from wealthy clients such as John Malkovich, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, and ailing Zsa Zsa Gabor, reports smh.com.au.
