Dawood aide arrested in Uttar Pradesh
March 26th, 2010 - 11:21 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, March 26 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) Friday claimed to have arrested a sharpshooter of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s gang from Barabanki district.
Ram Singh Thakur was arrested late Friday evening from the Dewa area of Barabanki, some 35 km from Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh ATS said.
Thakur, a native of Jaunpur district, was working for the D-company for the last 18 years.
He was involved in a number of contarct killings in Mumbai. He also used to extort money from Bollywood actors, the statement added.
