Dacoits kidnap two people in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, May 23 (IANS) Dacoits in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh have kidnapped two people and demanded a ransom for their release, the police said here Friday. According to the police, the gang of Panjab Singh Gurjar is involved in the incident. The police have already announced a reward of Rs 50,000 to anyone who furnishes information that may lead to Panjab Singh’s arrest.

“Two villagers, Jaipal and Shriniwas, of Salampur village have been kidnapped by Gurjar from Pahargarh area, and the dacoits have demanded a ransom of Rs.1 lakh (Rs.100,000) for their release,” Morena Police Superintendent S.K. Singh told IANS by phone.
