Dabur net up 16 percent

Mumbai, Jan 28 (IANS) Fast moving consumer goods major Dabur India Wednesday said its net profit rose 16 percent to Rs.1.07 billion (Rs.107.4 crore/$22 million) for the quarter ended Dec 31, from Rs.925 million a year ago.In a statement, the company said strong performance in key categories like hair oil, shampoos and skin care led to 19.4 percent growth in consolidated sales to Rs.7.86 billion for the period, compared to Rs.6.58 billion a year earlier.

The Dabur stable also houses brands like Vatika premium personal care products, Hajmola digestive products and Real fruit based beverages.
