CWG: Delhi to get 40 info-cafes for tourists
September 2nd, 2010 - 9:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) About 40 info-cafes will be launched here Friday to provide information to the over 100,000 tourists who are expected to visit the capital during the Commonwealth Games.
The cafe will have a touchscreen through which tourists can gather information regarding Delhi - places for site-seeing, bus routes, shopping places, Metro routes, eateries and the like.
These cafes will also serve Indian delicacies like jalebis, samosas, chaat and other items.
This is a private initiative by artist Ved Pohoja. The space for the cafes has been provided by civic authorities - New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
