Nov. 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 9th episode of the 6th season of CSI: NY- “Manhattanedge” had a surprise lying in wait for its truthful audience. The episode featured one of the most notorious killers of this season- “The Compass Killer” and the surprise unfolded as the whole team along with their boss- Mac solves the mystery behind the mad killer and searches for his “lair” or hiding.
The episode aired on Wednesday- 5th Nov on its regular CBS network in the evening at 10.00. This mystery, however will not be solved in the regular form of a solo episode, instead spanning a number of episodes which are not even consecutive. The first appearance of the mystery killer was in this season’s third episode, which showed him leaving an “antique compass pointing to a certain direction”. This compass was being left by him near his victims so as to point to the next one.
The Compass Killer is played by the veteran actor Skeet Ulrich (in a guest appearance). The plot revolves around this person, who has already claimed three lives and is about to make somebody his fourth victim. It is a race against time for Mac and his team as they try to save the victim and uncover the surprise none of us ever expected. While giving an interview, Ulrich- The killer said that he hadn’t played the bad man since his movie Scream and thus he was curious about the role. The action/crime/drama/mystery/thriller episode was directed by Matt earl Beesley and written by Trey Callaway. The cast and crew of the show were the same with Gary Sinise leading the coop as Detective Mac Taylor.

Actually, Skeet is forgetful. He played a possessed psychotic man in an episode of Miracles and was BRILLIANT in it — (Episode: You Are My Sunshine). Skeet and Josie Davis were fantastic in last night’s CSI NY episode. Rock on!
