Crude bomb found near Lucknow stadium
October 20th, 2010 - 12:30 am ICT by IANSLucknow, Oct 19 (IANS) A crude bomb was found lying in a plastic bag near the Chowk Stadium here Tuesday, police said.
“The bomb has been defused. We are yet to ascertain its intensity. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) has started an investigation in this regard,” police inspector K.C. Tiwari told reporters.
The bomb was found lying near gate no 1 of the stadium.
“It appears that the intention was primarily to create panic among the locals,” Tiwari added.
