Crane topples at Metro site, two injured
March 24th, 2010 - 8:19 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, March 24 (IANS) Two people were injured when a crane toppled at a Delhi Metro construction site in southeast Delhi Wednesday, an official said.
According to Delhi Metro officials, the accident took place in Sarita Vihar at 4.45 p.m.
“A hydro crane toppled and fell on one of the auto-rickshaws parked near by. Two people, including an employee of contractor, suffered minor injuries,” a Delhi Metro official said.
One of the injured workers was identified as Rajesh, 30. Both the injured were admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
