Court sends Shibu Soren’s brother to judicial custody
February 10th, 2010 - 7:51 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bokaro, Feb 10 (IANS) A Bokaro court Wednesday sent Lalu Soren, younger brother of Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren, to 14-day judicial custody in an eight-year-old hit and run case.
Lalu Soren surrendered in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Krishna Kumar.
In 2002, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP) employee C.M.P. Gupta died after being hit by the vehicle of Lalu Soren.
Gupta’s family members had filed a case against Lalu Soren, who later got bail.
For the last three years, he was not appearing in court. The court issued an arrest warrant against him after he failed to appear.
