Court relief for Delhi school manager
July 13th, 2011 - 3:22 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 13 (IANS) The manager of a private school here has got relief from the Delhi High Court, which stayed his arrest for disobeying a tribunal order related to an employee allegedly forced to retire.
“The warrants of arrest against the manager of the Cambridge Primary School, New Friends Colony, are stayed,” judge Rekha Sharma ruled earlier this month.
It was reported earlier that the Delhi School Tribunal had jailed the manager, M. Aslam Parvaiz, for one month for disregarding its order of Aug 30, 2007.
The school had been directed to pay Kailash Chand Jain, who worked as an office assistant, 50 percent of his salary from June 11, 2005 till a final order was passed by the director of education.
“The high court stay order has given relief to me. The tribunal order was very harsh,” Parvaiz told IANS.
The high court will now hear the case Aug 19.
