Court asks for fresh medical report on Morani
June 23rd, 2011 - 1:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 23 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Thursday directed Tihar Jail authorities to give fresh medical report of Cineyug Films founder Karim Morani who is in jail for alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum case and is seeking interim bail.
Justice Ajit Bharihoke said: “Concerned jail superintendent, Tihar, and medical superintendent of the concerned hospital where Morani is getting treatment are directed to submit a detailed report on medical condition of the petitioner within two days.”
The court has fixed the next hearing for June 27.
A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court arrested Morani, named co-conspirator in the 2G spectrum allocation scam, after dismissing his bail plea May 30. He first appeared in the court May 24, a day after his anticipatory bail was dismissed.
