Counterfeit currency seized in Punjab
July 10th, 2011 - 1:15 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, July 10 (IANS) Two men were arrested in Punjab’s Patiala district with counterfeit currency totalling about Rs.10 lakh, police said Sunday.
Police intercepted a motorcycle in Rajpura town, 45 km away from here, on a tip off, Saturday evening.
“We checked their bag and found fake currency,” Superintendent of Police Manmohan Sharma told IANS. The notes were in the denomination of Rs.100, Rs.500 and Rs.1,000.
