Corinthians win record eighth Sao Paulo Juniors Cup
January 26th, 2012 - 4:23 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Rio de Janeiro, Jan 26 (IANS) Corinthians beat Fluminense 2-1 in the final to win their record eighth Sao Paulo Juniors Cup football here.
Corinthians’ promising fullback and captain Antonio Carlos scored both of his team’s goals in the 65th and 88th minute. Michel scored Fluminense’s only goal of the match in the 48th minute.
Corinthians ended the under-19 tournament undefeated, winning all seven of their matches, scoring 28 goals while giving away only one.
