Cop murdered in Uttar Pradesh
November 9th, 2010 - 12:42 am ICT by IANSLucknow, Nov 8 (IANS) A policeman was murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district Monday, an official said.
Constable Rajiv Kumar, 28, was found dead in a forested area of the Ramlank town, some 350 km from Lucknow.
“It appears that the policeman died of injuries inflicted by some sharp-edged weapons,” police inspector K.P. Sharma told reporters in Muzaffarnagar.
“We are yet to trace the assailants and establish the motive behind the crime,” he added.
Kumar was posted in the Police Lines in the state’s Lakhimpur Kheri district.
