Cool, wet day in Delhi
August 16th, 2011 - 11:45 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS) Light showers led to pleasant weather in the capital Tuesday and it was likely to remain so with the Met department forecasting a cool and wet day ahead.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below average.
“The sky will remain cloudy with rain and thundershowers in some parts of the city,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature will hover around 29 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, the city received incessant rainfall since late Monday. A total of 5.2 mm rain was recorded since Monday 8.30 p.m. to Tuesday 8.30 a.m.
Monday’s maximum temperature settled at 28.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 25.1 degrees Celsius.
The capital has recorded 331 mm rainfall so far, 21 percent less than the average for the season.
