Cool morning in Delhi, more rains ahead

New Delhi, Sep 4 (IANS) After heavy overnight rains, the capital experienced a cool but humid Sunday morning with some parts witnessing light rainfall. The Met office has predicted more showers in the day.

“The skies will remain cloudy with possibility of heavy rains in some areas,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature was recorded a notch below average at 25.3 degrees Celsius while the maximum is likely to hover around 32 degrees. Humidity was recorded at a high of 93 percent.

The city received 25.5 mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. Saturday to 8.30 a.m. Sunday. In September, Delhi received 42.5 mm of rainfall.

On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 34 and 24.4 degrees.
