Cool morning in Delhi, heavy rains likely

New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS) Delhiites woke up to a cool morning Wednesday with the Met office forecasting heavy rains in some parts of the city later in the day.

“The skies would be generally cloudy with a possibility of rain and thundershowers towards evening,” said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The minimum temperature settled at 24.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal for this time of the season, while the maximum is expected to hover around 29 degrees Celsius.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Tuesday were 34.5 degrees Celsius and 26.1 degrees Celsius respectively.
