Convict serving life term commits suicide
April 22nd, 2010 - 9:19 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 22 (IANS) A 28-year-old convict serving life imprisonment committed suicide in Tihar Central Jail here, police said Thursday.
Vishav Chaudhary, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case on March 29, was found hanging in a jail hospital early Thursday.
“We found Vishav hanging at around 5:30 a.m. in the jail hospital,” an official said.
“We have informed the local police. The investigation would be carried out by a judicial magistrate,” he added.
