Constable thrashed by drunken duo
December 20th, 2011 - 5:26 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) Two men are on the run here after attacking a constable and firing and seriously wounding a man after an accident led to heated row, police said Tuesday.
The two drunken men were in a car which hit constable Chander Vijay’s bike in Sarojini Nagar in south Delhi Monday night, toppling and injuring him.
A vocal argument followed. As some locals tried to pacify them, the two became more enraged.
One of them hit Vijay with a hammer while the other opened fired hitting a bystander, Rajesh, 28. Rajesh is said to be in critical condition.
