Conman’s Bollywood connections to be probed: police
June 5th, 2009 - 8:06 pm ICT by IANSAhmedabad, June 5 (IANS) Ahmedabad police said Friday they could question some Bollywood producers in connection with arrested conman Ashok Jadeja, who duped thousands of people by posing as a godman.
“We are going through a diary recovered from Jadeja which has a large number of names. His Bollywood connections would also be probed if the need arises,” a senior Ahmedabad CID Crime Branch official said Friday.
Jadeja, who was arrested early this week, had a huge following across the country.
The conman and his wife Neetu were arrested with Rs.1.98 crore in cash in their possession June 1 in Ahmedabad after a complaint was filed by some members of the Sansi community against him in Rajasthan.
