Congress leader’s Noida house robbed
March 25th, 2009 - 12:13 am ICT by IANSNoida, March 24 (IANS) Armed robbers barged into the house of Congress leader Rajiv Ranjan in this satellite town Tuesday and decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs.800,000, police said.
Inspector Anil Samania of the Sector-39 police station said Ranjan’s wife filed a complaint with police alleging that pistol wielding thieves entered the house at around 6 p.m. and took away Rs.700,000 in cash and Rs.100,000 jewellery.
Ranjan was away in Delhi lobbying for a Congress ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections.
