Confident of making Games a grand success: Dikshit
June 18th, 2010 - 8:56 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 18 (IANS) With just 107 days to go for the Commonwealth Games in October, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday said with each passing day her government was becoming more confident about making the mega-event in the city a grand success.
Speaking at the launch of a Central Bank of India branch at the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee headquarters, she said hosting the Games has provided Delhi an excellent opportunity to accelerate the pace of providing a world class sports infrastructure.
This infrastructure will become an “inseparable part” of the city’s legacy, she said.
With monsoon round the corner, there are concerns over the timely completion of Games-related infrastructural projects.
