College vice principal sets himself afire
April 9th, 2011 - 11:23 pm ICT by IANSMuzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), April 9 (IANS) Frustrated with his poor health, a vice principal of a government college in this Uttar Pradesh city Saturday committed suicide by self immolation, police said.
Dharmvir Upadhyay, 55, of Jawahar Inter College committed suicide at his house in Shamli town.
“In the suicide note, he said he is taking the extreme step because of his ailment and poor health,” Superintendent of Police (Rural) Hira Lal told reporters in Muzaffarnagar, some 350 km from Lucknow.
