Cold, clear day ahead for Delhi
January 9th, 2012 - 12:05 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS) After nearly a week of cloudy skies, a clear day has been forecast in Delhi. The minimum temperature Monday morning settled a notch above average at 8.4 degrees Celsius.Visibility was high in the morning at 700 meters.
“Cloud cover traps heat, so it will be colder today (Monday) as the sky is clear,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
According to the official, snowfall in the Himalayan region has also contributed to Delhi’s chill. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius.
