Clouds cover Delhi, rains likely

Delhi, July 6 (IANS) It was a pleasant, overcast morning in Delhi Wednesday with the weather office forecasting showers later in the day.

“The skies have been overcast since morning and thundershowers are expected in some parts of the city later in the day,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius in the morning, a notch above average for this time of the season. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

The national capital received 1.1 mm of rainfall till Wednesday 8.30 a.m and humidity was 80 percent.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Tuesday were 37.7 and 30.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
