Civil services aspirant commits suicide
June 11th, 2011 - 12:01 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 10 (IANS) A 31-year-old civil services aspirant committed suicide by hanging himself in an institute in north Delhi where he was a part-time teacher, police said Friday.
“The deceased has been identified as Surender who hails from Rajasthan. He was living in Mukherjee Nagar and preparing for the civil services,” said a police officer.
“Surender was also teaching at the Kautilya Institute in Batra Complex in the same area. He was found hanging in the institute’s complex yesterday (Thursday),” added the officer.
Police said that no suicide note had been recovered from him, and said the cause of the suicide could be depression as Surender had not qualified in the Rajasthan state civil services exam.
