CIC drive to dispose over three-month-old cases
November 25th, 2010 - 10:01 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) The Central Information Commission (CIC) has launched a special drive to dispose right to information (RTI) cases which are more than three months old, the Rajya Sabha was informed Thursday.
Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions V. Narayansamy, replying to a written question, said: “The CIC has launched a special drive to dispose the cases which are more than three months old.”
He also said that about 55 percent cases before the CIC, as on Sep 30, were three months old and about 8 percent cases were more than six months old.
