Church to probe sexual abuse allegation (Lead)
March 21st, 2010 - 5:02 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bhopal, March 21 (IANS) The Catholic Church in Madhya Pradesh will probe sexual abuse allegations against the warden of a church-run school hostel who has been arrested.
John Kuttikatil, 30, warden of St. Joseph Bal Bhavan, was taken into custody Saturday for allegedly abusing an 11-year-old boy for over a year.
“It is a serious allegation and we are concerned. The Catholic Church has constituted an internal committee to investigate the case,” Father Anand Muttangal, spokesperson for the state’s Catholic community, told IANS.
