Taliban Mumbai, Nov 9 (IANS) The All India Christian Council Wednesday criticised the hate speech by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International general secretary Pravin Togadia seeking the death sentence for those who attempt to convert Hindus.

Film maker Mahesh Bhatt and author and great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi Tushar Gandhi also condemned Togadia’s speech, made Monday in Ahmedabad.

“The Christian council, along with Mahesh Bhatt and Tushar Gandhi, condemns Togadia’s threat to behead the minorities on the pretext of conversion. Does VHP intend to Talibanise India,” said the council in a statement.

It was only in July that Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy caused fear and panic through a hate article.

“Now Togadia is going berserk, inciting and igniting the flame of hatred against the minorities by calling for the beheading of those who convert Hindus through a fiery speech,” said Abraham Mathai, general gecretary of the council.
