Chouhan regime misleading people: Kamal Nath

Bhopal, Aug 18 (IANS) Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of Madhya Pradesh of doing precious little on the development front, central minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath Monday said this was evident from the fact that not a single special economic zone (SEZ) had come up in the state.”It has only been misleading people by organising investors’ meets at various places without any investment. Not a single big industrial house has come to the state because the government here has not been able to build trust required for the purpose,” Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath told reporters here.

“The result is that while other states attracted big investments, in Madhya Pradesh it was 1.7 percent of the total investments in the country,” he said.

“Chouhan talks about development but he should tell people what his government has done so far. He has been making major announcements only to divert public attention from the real problems plaguing the state,” he said.

“Plentiful economic assistance is being provided for central schemes in this state but the funds were being misused by the state government that was neck-deep in corruption from top to bottom,” Kamal Nath said.
