Amritsar, May 3 (IANS) Punjab Police have handed over the two Chinese tourists, one of whom was abducted and later released, to the Chinese embassy in New Delhi Tuesday, police said.

Yang Lulu and Jiang Jiali, both in their early 30s, reached Amritsar Sunday and Lulu was abducted by three Railway Protection Force (RPF) constables and their accomplice.

She was found in an unconscious state in a field near the city late Sunday night.

“We have recorded the statements of Chinese tourists before the judicial magistrate here today (Tuesday) and they have been handed over to the Chinese embassy officials in New Delhi,” Amritsar Police Commissioner Parampal Singh Sidhu told IANS.

“We have also submitted our inquiry report and records of their statements with the embassy,” he added.

“The abducted woman said that the men had physically assaulted her before dropping her in the fields,” added Sidhu.

Punjab Police had Monday arrested three RPF constables for the abduction.

Another accomplice is still on the run, police said.
