Chinese politician’s wife held over murder

Beijing, April 11 (IANS) The wife of a suspended central committee member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been detained in connection with last year’s murder of a Briton.

Neil Heywood was found dead in Chongqing Nov 15, 2011.

Bogu Kailai, wife of Bo Xilai, who was suspended from the CPC central committee for indiscipline, and their son were in good terms with Heywood, revealed a probe.

However, they had conflict over “economic interests” with Heywood which had intensified prior to his death, reported Tuesday night.

Bogu Kailai has been “transferred to judicial authorities”.
